The Vineyards and Grape Species

 

We choose to locate the growth region of the vines in Upper Galilee area, which is well known for its spectacular and remarkable qualities of wine-grapes. 

 
 

 

The winery has planted  two vineyards in the lands of Kfar-Shamai, on one of the peaks of the Meron Mountain Reservation, and is just in front of the beautiful landscape on Zfat at an altitude of 720 to 820 meters above sea level.

 

 
 

Those wine-grapes were sowed in a limestone and rocky soil with ideal microclimate conditions - plenty of sun, coldness, winds and rainfalls in a westerly slope, with minerals and a developed bio-organism texture. 

 

In these vineyards, we have seeded the following species of wine-grapes; Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Syrah. These seeds are groomed according to a dense growth technique, which produces reduced quantity of a high quality fruit. In addition, the winery purchases grapes from other vintners who own vineyards.
